Your company is already losing $40,000 a month to AI. You just haven't measured it yet.

Most organisations think AI adoption is a future problem. Our data from 700,000+ readers suggests it became a present one, quietly, and faster than anyone expected.
Last month we surveyed 4,200 of our readers who work inside mid-sized US companies. We asked them one simple question: “How many hours per week do you spend on tasks you believe AI could handle?”
The average answer was 7.4 hours.
Not per month. Per week. Per person.
Do the math for a 100-person company at an average fully-loaded cost of $55/hour and you get $40,700 every single month - evaporating into tasks that a well-prompted AI tool could handle in minutes.
That last number stopped us. 91% of people using AI at work are doing it entirely alone - no standards, no training, no shared methodology. Just individuals Googling prompts and hoping for the best.
The irony is devastating: companies are paying for Copilot licences, ChatGPT Teams accounts, and Gemini for Workspace and then doing absolutely nothing to help their people use them. It’s like buying a fleet of Formula 1 cars and handing the keys to people who’ve never left a car park.
